Toni Lowenthal
I am a visual artist working in soft pastels. I enjoy flipping my perspective on life. I find that looking very closely or at a different angle helps me to see the world with fresh eyes. I notice beauty in things that I might have passed over before. This brings me back to myself and in so doing, brings me into communion with the world and life around me. I love chaos jutted up against structure and texture that culminates in smooth waves. I love to capture the calm of a single moment found in nature or the abstraction of a frenetic thought.
My art is about life and all the messy intricacies that make it worth living.
